Nike and Footlocker came together to relaunch fresh color ways inspired by 90's apparel, on some of their most iconic 90's silhouettes. The task was to create assets that fall in line with the current Nike Air brand guidelines. The illustrations and renderings are playful but always reference a technical inspiration for the sneaker or the iconic Nike airbag.
Above are the final key art layouts that were handed off to Footlocker and Nike for iteration. Each layout contains a 90s windbreaker that inspired the color ways, as well as custom 3D elements, and Nike Air Max logos.
We were also tasked with creating a launch film for the sneaker pack. But how do you launch a silhouette that has been around since the 90s? Maybe the new color way was dug up in a pro athletes backyard in a time-capsule from the 90s? That's absolutely what we did.
Working in tandem with 3D artist Chloe Karayiannis we generated dimensional assets for each silhouette.
